The do your follicles have been crying out for! Here’s why you need to get the chop for 2016 What’s more versatile than a Swiss army knife? The clavicut! Perfectly swingy, cut to hit the clavicle (collarbone) and so wearable. This cut is perfect for the new year: out with your dry ends and in with a good blunt chop. It’s modern yet classic, youthful and versatile. It draws attention to the shoulders and is very flattering on most face shapes. Your stylist can cut it chunky at the ends for a grungy Alexa Chung look, or softened with layers for a more natural feel.

Its’ great because there is enough length to put your hair up into a ponytail or a plait, but it’s also easy to blowdry and maintain.

How to wear it

Our favourite way to wear it is wavy using these simple techniques and products make it easy to achieve.

To maximise waves and movement start with a curly shampoo and conditioner. Then towel dry hair and apply a root spray directly to the root to create volume, apply sea salt spray on the ends and twist hair into four buns, then clip into place, apply heat and leave to cool. Shake your hair out for natural tousle that will add movement then apply a texturizing spray on dry hair to keep the style volumised throughout the day.

We recommend Davines products as they are natural and light weight. For any product or styling advice pop In and see us.
